The One Thing

 

   There is a book called <The One Thing>, a bestseller written by Gary Keller, This book emphasizes the power of simplicity over a complex world. The author points out that there is the one thing in growing and successful companies like Apple's iPhone, Intel's microprocessor, Coca-Cola recipe. He argues that the most important single value, a single person, and a single idea can change lives and change the world. This book tells us that doing a lot of busy work is not a blessing, but rather a deeper concentration brings a greater success and happiness, as it corrects a false myth about success in this age of multitasking.

   In other words, the key is that it is a true life and a shortcut to success to find one's own "one" and to work hard for it, although we live in diverse area.

   What is the "single" of our Christian? What should it be? This is the easiest but most challenging question. The answer is to be Jesus and to have to be Jesus. But we can not concentrate on that one. Could it be that our attention is focused not only on busy daily routines but also on substance, comfort, personal success, and so on? The world also says that if you focus on one thing, you can succeed and be happy. The importance of this one thing in the matter of the soul is not comparable with the one of the world.

   All the purpose and priority of the church should be Jesus. Focusing on this one thing can make a right church community. When we concentrate on this one thing in our personal life, in the church community, and in the workplace, we will be able to live a fruitful life that God is pleased with.
