Tears

If you have strong toe-nails of tiger that can attack someone,

then I have careful ears of rabbit that can listen to others.

 

If you have long legs of giraffe that can treat the higher places,

then I have short legs of sheep that can tread the lower places.

 

If you have fierce voice of lion that can daunt others,

then I have sweet voice of dove that can console others.

 

If you have glowing eyes of eagle that can find out feed everywhere,

then I have moderate eyes of deer that can make others intimate with each other.

 

If you have wise brain of fox that can compromise with others,

then I have obstinate heart of ox that will go straightforwardly.

 

We all are different,

but we equally share one thing,

That is tears.

 

If you may shed tears because your pet starves one meal in a day,

then you will shed tears for other starving people.

 

If you may shed tears because your child is sick,

then you will shed tears for other suffering children.

 

If you may shed tears because your sister is infringed on sexual privacy,

then you will shed tears for sexually exploited women.

 

If you may shed tears because your brother is exploited like slaves,

then you will shed tears for other exploited people.

 

You and I own the most precious thing than any other things in the world,

That is tears,

The tears for the starving, the suffering, the exploited!

 

Their pains deprive them of even tears.

But,

We have tears for them

which make you and I the one.

 

We have tears for them!
