Love is hugging

 

 

According to culture, expression of greeting, expression of favor, expression of love is different.

I had been to America praise mission tour when I was in graduation school and met many Americans. When I did homestay for a day and left for the next area, they always had a hug and told me 'Nice to have you'.

 

Regardless of the elderly and the young, the man and the woman, they were sorry for parting and hugged and said goodbye.

 

At that time, I felt American culture was much different from our traditional Korean culture. Especially, Koreans do not hug or kiss, even though they had deep appreciation, And they do not express emotion directly because Koreans think expressing feelings directly is not good.

 

During my short American praise mission Tour, it was a deep impression to me to hug with the elderly, the mother, the dad, and even the babies, and I felt that it was intimacy itself, It was time to feel love and appreciation.

 

If Jesus are hugging with us, or if Jesus are just holding up a small child like me, what an intimate love you feel!. it is a moment to be filled with the belief that Jesus protects me.

 

Jesus always hugs us. He always hugs us up.

As a child, there may be an experience in which my father hold me up on his shoulder and went into the sea and felt a little fears in the depths of the sea. I may have felt a little bit of fear when I saw the sea, but I quickly felt that I was safe because I was embraced by my father's heavy arm.

 

The little girl might have been dipping her feet on the beach. But if father hugs me, I can get closer to the depth as deep as my father's height. I was able to overcome some of my fears right away. Because of my belief in my father 's bold arm, my belief that he will never put me in a deep sea of ​​danger. I feel safe right away.

 

Because of my father 's strength, I can enjoy the deep sea, not the shallow sea, without fear.

 

When the Israelites exiled in Egypt, where they were persecuted, and lived in the wilderness, Moses expressed this as the embrace of God. Despite of all the troubles and hardships, they felt that God were hugging them, the Israelites would feel that they were protected by the arms of God. So Moses expressed it by hugging them.

 

In the eyes of faith, God always hugs us. The word 'hugging' always means 'protecting' us. When you meet the deep sea, the difficulty, you feel the strong protection of God as you feel the strength of your father's heavy arms. Those who do not have this faith will complain. When we think about how God has kept us, we are always in the arms of God or we can climb on his shoulders and enjoy the deep sea.
