Briquettes and Jesus

Do not get kicked in the briquettes.

Were you anyone who was hot for others at any one time?

                              Ahn Do Hyun's poem <Ask you>

--------------------------------------------------------------

This poem moves a person's heart in only two sentences. It makes the heart hot and makes us look back.

Briquettes, which we see worthless, was heating facilities when I was young, but nowadays we do not use briquettes. The briquettes themselves are burned and make others warm up but turn useless and are thrown away after all. And the last things are kicked and disappear into dust. Who knew these briquettes would be the source of poetry? As this poetry said, we should reflect on whether we have burned ourselves once more for the sake of others.

If we recall someone who burned himself and made others profitable, the answer will be Jesus. We can connect the briquettes with Jesus. Have we ever been a little Jesus just once? That is to sacrifice me, or to have a passion for others.

If our hearts get hot at this poem, we still have a possibility. If we let others profitable for the sake of our neighbors, our society, the nation and the world, though we decide not to make such a big talk but a little practice, we will not be a shame to the briquettes.
